Mid-summer update

We had a great couple of weeks with Sandy, Steve and Wynn.  They just left today and the house seems so quiet.  Matea seems to regret that she didn’t do a better job sharing her toys with Wynn and assures me that next time she’ll do better.  Poor girls…they love each other to pieces, but after a couple weeks they can hardly be within arms-reach of each other without a squabble taking place.  I added some July pictures above, including our time with the Swansons, 4th of July, lots of time at the beach and some updated pictures of the girls.  Dahlia just turned 4 months and Matea is 27 months.  They have both just recovered from a little virus, but now everyone is healthy again.  We have a big job ahead in the next couple of weeks, as we’ll be trying to sell our lovely little house.  We have very mixed feelings about this.  We need a slightly bigger place, closer to Brett’s work.  However, I have already warned him that I will cry big, fat tears when we leave.  This has been the first home we owned.  We have spent precious time making it just how we wanted it…including vegetables and raspberries in the back yard.  But more importantly, this is where we went from a family of 2 to a family 4….the only home our girls have known.  But not being strangers to change ourselves, we know it will be the best thing for all of us in the long-run.  We have faith that this is true.
