About Us

DSC04729

We are a family of four, originally from Seattle, USA. In 2011 we made the choice to move our family to Copenhagen, Denmark. Three years later we moved from Copenhagen to London, England. This blog is the story of our every-day life and adventures as we travel, play, live and learn. We are using this space to keep in touch with family and friends and to document our experiences of life abroad and the joys and challenges that can accompany it.  As parents of two young girls, we strive to keep things simple and enjoy all the small moments in life, while at the same time, living-out big dreams. Although we live abroad, we also try to travel regularly, as we want to give our kids a broad view of the world we live in.  To get a better idea of why we decided to move our family abroad, read this post.

  1. Hello… I didn’t catch your name and I’m sorry if this looks a little creepy. I just googled Danish blogs and yours came up. I have family history that originates from Denmark and I have just recently been very interested in the country as a whole. I just thought maybe I could get some little insights from your blog. I would love to know little things about their culture and just how they live. I’m very interested…My name is Christy and I am from Spokane, WA..I was shocked to hear that you are from Seattle! I love Seattle. It’s one of our very favorite places to visit. I am a mother of 3 and stay very busy as you do…Well anyway. It’s late and I haven’t had a chance to dive into your blog yet, but hope to soon…Thanks for letting me peek. Christy

  2. Love your blog, and your story! I recently moved to Copenhagen from Vancouver, Canada to be with my danish boyfriend. Looking forward to reading about your experience, and seeing more great photos.

  3. Dear knighthaak,

My name is Joyce and I work for ExpatFinder.com.
ExpatFinder.com is a free one stop website for people preparing to move or working and living overseas. We provide a myriad of services for expatriates and we have over 2,000 articles to help and support the people moving around the world and we are now creating an interview section to help the expats with real life experiences!
We quite enjoy your blog about living in Denmark, it is very interesting and informative. Would it be possible to interview you to further share some of your tips and feature some of your first hand experience as an Expat and your interview will be published on our Expat Interview section as a guide for our expat readers. The questions are mainly about the day to day lifestyle of an expat. If it would be possible, could you also send some photographs that we can use?
Of course, if you accept, we can add a link to your blog or some of your website.
The questions are enclosed, feel free to respond freely. You can return the doc with your answers if you accept this invitation.
Thanks in advance and do let me know if you prefer other means to conduct this interview and we would be happy to accommodate your terms.

    Best regards,
    Joyce
